- THIS MODIFICATION IS PER APD ALERT 2007-08 TO SET ASIDE NAICS CODE 236220 FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled "Construct Compost Storage Building Addition" at USDA-ARS-MWA, Dairy Forage Research Farm, Prairie du Sac, WI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the construction of an addition to an existing compost storage building. The addition shall be an approximate 16' x 33', open structure similar to the existing building with roof, nominal 4' high concrete walls and framed construction. The project includes installation of a new concrete apron to the addition and extension of the existing aerator system serving the compost storage facility. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 to $100,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition is set-aside for all small businesses. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 236220 and the annual size standard is 31 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-07-AA10 is scheduled for uploading on or about July 18, 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Sealed bids will be due by 2:00 PM on August 17, 2007. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
