- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis using FAR Part 12, post administration services for defined benefit pension plans trusted by PBGC. Its PBGC intentions to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. The award(s) will be issued as performance based IDIQ contract(s). The contractor(s) shall provide services which include but are not limited to: gathering and maintaining participant data; processing and authorizing benefit payments to eligible participants and beneficiaries; processing deceased notifications, address and direct deposit changes; issuing benefit determination letters; and maintaining participant documentation. The place of performance will be Richmond Heights, OH, Cedar Falls, IA and/or the services maybe performed at the contractor?s place of business within the continental United States. The period of performance may include a base year with four (4) one year option periods to be exercised at the discretion of PBGC. The base year will begin on/about October 1, 2007. This is a pre-solicitation notice, not a solicitation. The solicitation is not currently available, but is estimated to be available on/about Aug 3, 2007. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review FedBizOpps.gov website frequently for any updates/amendments. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The website contains downloading instructions. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. No telephone, facsimile, or handwritten requests will be accepted
