- The Contractor shall provide all management, labor, supervision, vehicles, equipment, and materials to perform tours, basic operation, preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and minor repair and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems and equipment in the manholes, vaults, tunnels, sumps, and building steam stations (excluding tours) of the Heating Operation and Transmission District (HOTD) Steam Distribution Complex (SDC) in Washington, DC. A firm fixed-price type contract will be awarded from this solicitation, with the Government having authority to issue delivery orders as necessary during the term of the contract for major and minor repairs to the Steam Distribution Complex, as needed. The contract performance will be for an initial 12 month period, with the option to extend for four additional 12 month periods. This solicitation is not set-aside for small businesses. However, this procurement is being made under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Women-Owned businesses are encouraged to submit a bid and so state that they are women-owned. The NAIC Code is 238990 and the small business size standard is $12,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on/about May 8, 2007, and the due date will be on/about June 8, 2007.
