Description
NAICS Code: 541930 The combined synopsis/solicitation for RFQ-KS-07-00012 has been amended. The purpose of this amendment is to add an attachment to the solicitation, which answers the questions received regarding the combined synopsis/solicitation and to modify the contract period of performance. All other sections/attachments of the solicitation remain unchanged. QUESTION: Are you looking for a full time interpreter and in some instances you will require multiple interpreters to be available depending on the demands of the Agency? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: How often in a given year have multiple interpreters been requested? ANSWER: Multiple interpreters have been requested approximately 2 to 3 times per month throughout the contract period of performance. Additional interpreters are necessary for a minimum of 2 hours per instance and a maximum of 8 hours per instance. QUESTION: What is the number of additional interpreters requested per instance? ANSWER: The number of additional interpreters, per instance, ranges from 1 to 3. 1 additional interpreter is the most common requirement. QUESTION: Does a Request for Quotation (Standard Form 18) need to be filled out? ANSWER: No, quotes should be submitted on company letterhead. QUESTION: Quoters are required to submit completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 and its ALT I, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with their quotes. ANSWER: The contract was awarded in the amount of $71,500.00. QUESTION: To whom can FOIA requests be submitted? ANSWER: Kathy Montalte (913) 551-7790. QUESTION: Under the current contract is there a set schedule in place? ANSWER: The set schedule is 8:00 am to 12 pm and 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays and the instances when all 3 deaf employees are out of the office (rare). QUESTION: Will there be one or two interpreters per assignment? ANSWER: One interpreter is stationed at the office during the set scheduled hours and interprets throughout the day as necessary. Additional interpreters are assigned on an as needed basis. QUESTION: How would the 2,200 hours be spread throughout the year? ANSWER: The hours will be used to fund the set schedule and the remaining hours will be used, as needed, to bring in additional interpreters. The period of performance has been modified as follows: FROM: August 1, 2007 - July 31, 2008 with an option to extend the contract from August 1, 2008 through July 31, 2009. TO: October 1, 2007 - August 31, 2008 with an option to extend the contract from October 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009.
