- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT: Supervisor of Shipbuilding, C&R, USN intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 13.302 to Blackmer, 1809 Century Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503-8017 for the following item(s): (1) JP-5 Defueling Pump, P/N: E-4177, NSN: 4320-01-076-6502, Qty: 1 Each. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an other than full and open competitive basis. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before 03 Aug 2007. Interested persons/parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning the capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the Governme nt is available. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to contract award will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
