Description
Naval Air Station New Orleans Building 22 Renovation: Belle Chasse, Lousiana: This is a HUBZone set-aside. The NAICS Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $31,000,000. The outcomes to be satisfied are building renovation of spaces on a large commercial building located aboard the Joint Reserve Base naval Air Station New Orleans. The plans and specs already include complete design. The successful offeror shall renovate the building to the design. Work includes: Minor site work, demolition, asbestos abatement, small building addition, hydraulic elevator, windows, doors, architectural finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression, and incidental related work. The work is estimated between $3Million to $5 million and total completion time is 315 days from date of award expected to be 28 SEP 2007. The contract to be awarded will be firm fixed price. Liquidated damaged are expected to be $2,470.00 for each calendar day of delay. The offeror will be evaluated on price as well as technical factors to include: Offeror Experience and capability of Key Personnel in jopbs of a similar nature, complexity, and size, Past Performance and quality of work on previous renovation jobs, and the specific technical and management approach to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, and pursuant to the design. Turn around time will be quick since funds are expiring and must be awarded before fiscal year end. The plans and specs will be available 15 days from this posting or 25 JUL 2007 with a 30 day turn around in submitting your offer. A site tour will be announced and specific will be provided with the issuance of the plans and specs. In the meantime this project will be referred to as NAVFACSE B-22 Renovation NOLA Plans and specs will be available through NAVFAC?s electronic solicitation web site at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil Potential offerors are encouraged to pre-register their firm in CCR and ESOL The government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. This contract will not contain any incentive award provisions, fee, or periods. The current and potential risks for this contract are no more than for a typical small to medium construction project. The only foreseeable Schedule and Performance risks are those associated with seasonal destructive weather.
