- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number Q7350070009 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for Tree Trimming and Ball Moss Removal of approximately 400 trees at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, LBJ Ranch, Stonewall, Texas 78671. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. The applicable NAICS number is 561730 and a small business size standard is $6.5 million. This is a Total Small Business Set Aside procurement. Scope of Work - Trimming and Removal of Ball Moss. The trimming consists of removal of dead wood, and ball moss (99%). Crown restoration, and thinning for proper growth patterns, sucker and new growth removal is required. Raising and balancing the canopies is required. The canopies are not to be cut more than 25%, stems 1/3 and canopies 2/3. All cuts must be sprayed or treated with a tree kote or aborist approved dressing immediately after the cut is made. All work performed must be in accordance with ANSI A300. All tools must be cleaned and disinfected before use at the project site. A Certified Aborist must supervise all work performed on this project. The limbs and dead wood will be transported to a location within the Park for disposal. This will be bid as one lump sum amount. The Government reserves the right to adjust the number of trees to be trimmed based on availability of funding at the time of award. Interested parties should visit the project site.
