- The Department of Energy is currently the largest civilian Federal contracting agency. In order to provide more timely and detailed information to businesses, the public, Congress, and DOE management on DOE???s prime and subcontract contracting opportunities, DOE recently expanded its web-based ???Department of Energy Acquisition Forecast???. The Forecast, formerly called the ???Department of Energy Forecast of Prime and Subcontracting Opportunities??? was recently expanded to include additional information for on-going prime contracting actions that are valued in excess of $100,000. The Forecast website is accessible via http://hqlnc.doe.gov/Forecast. Information contained in the Forecast for future and ongoing transactions can be searched and sorted in a number of ways, including by DOE/NNSA contracting activity, state, type of acquisition, and the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code. In addition, for access to additional information, points of contact are identified for each opportunity listed. For specific information on doing business with the DOE/NNSA, including obtaining specific information regarding public announcements on initiated acquisitions, registering to receive a solicitation and submit proposals for specific transactions, and obtaining information and guidance on acquisition and financial assistance award processes, you are encouraged to visit the Department???s e-Center at http://www.pr.doe.gov and FedBizOpps.gov.
