- Description
- THE NAICS CODE IS CORRECTED TO READ 334511. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a sole source Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type (IDIQ) contract with Indal Technologies, Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for the A/W37A-1 Horizon Reference Set (HRS) through the Canadian Commercial Corporation. Indal is the only known designer, developer, and manufacturer of the HRS that has the knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill the requirements within the scheduled delivery time period. The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This sypnosis covers the basic IDIQ contract and all subsequent delivery orders. The Horizon Reference Set is a shipboard system designed to provide a visual reference for the pilot of a helicopter when landing during periods when the true horizon is obscured due to darkness or adverse weather conditions to land safely on the flight deck. It is required that the company be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database(CCR) with their Duns Number and Cage Code. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which if received in a timely manner, may be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
