- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide the additional information interested parties need to have in order to respond to this notice. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number AG-4310-S-07-0012 is issued as a request for quotations and incorporated provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC2005-17. AGAR 452.219-70 - The North American Industrial Classification System Code(s) and business size standard(s) describing the products and/or services to be acquired under this solicitation are listed below: Contract line item(s): All; - NAICS Code 111421 - Size Standard $6.5 M. FAR 52.212-2 - The Government anticipates award or a contract resulting from this solicitation to the Responsive/responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. The provision of 52.212.2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The contracting officer will make award based on price and other price related factors. All factors including price, delivery, technical capability, and past performance will be evaluated equally. Successful offeror MUST accept government purchase card or submit electronic funds transfer information (SF1199a) along with their quotation to get set up for payment. Vendor MUST be in CCR and ORCA before purchase order is issued. Delivery is FOB Destination to Douglas, Georgia. Item DESCRIPTION: This solicitation is for the Purchase, Delivery, Storage, and Installation of Hardwood Tree Seedlings at a rate of 300 trees per Acre (2,000 acres). Quantity of each type of Hardwood for this location is as follows: Bald Cypress - Bareroot Seedling (500,000 each); Pond Cypress - Bareroot Seedling (50,000 each); Longleaf Pine - Containerized Seedling (58,000 each). Cypress seedlings (pond & bald) and longleaf pine (Containerized) will be planted on the Roundabout WRP site at the rate of 300 trees per acre. This is a 2,000 acre site. Refrigeration trucks on site are necessary to keep the seedlings at the proper temperature until planted. Planting season is as follows: Bareroot cypress seedlings should be planted from November 15 through March 15, Containerized longleaf pine should be planted from November 15 through March 1. Cypress should be planted to proper depth and should receive adequate soil compaction. Tree roots should not be pruned. Cypress root collar should be planted at or within ? inch below the ground. Avoid L or J shaped rooting. Longleaf root collar should be planted at or within ? inch above the ground. Avoid L or J shaped rooting. Avoid planting in thick clumps of burned tree stobs even if densities are closer than 12 feet apart. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Guaranteed survival rate of seedlings after planting shall be specified in offerors quotation. Acceptance of the standard commercial warranty does not waive the Government's rights under the Inspection clause nor does it limit the Government's rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the standard commercial warranty. The contractor shall provide a copy of its standard commercial warranty (if applicable) with its response.
