- The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Project Manager for Special Operation Forces Training Systems (PM STS) has a requirement for non-personal technical services for the Special Operations Forces Planning, Rehearsal and Execution Preparation (SOFPREP) Branch within United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). SOFPREP has personnel and facilities at the 19th Special Operations Squadron (SOS), Hurlburt Field, FL and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment-Airborne (SOAR-A) at Fort Campbell, KY. This requirement will provide administrative, operational, engineering, and maintenance support for SOFPREP. SOFPREP serves as USSOCOM’s focal point for the gathering of required Geospatial Intelligence source data and for the production of USSOCOM synthetic environment databases in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Mission and Training Preparation Systems (MTPS). This action will require access to geospatial information having security classifications up to and including TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). An informational Industry Day will be conducted on July 6, 2006 in Orlando, Florida, on the University of Central Florida campus. Exact location is the Partnership II Building/Room 208, 3100 Technology Parkway, Orlando, Florida. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide interested parties with a thorough overview of the Government’s requirements. Anyone interested in attending this conference should notify the Government Point of Contact, Mr. Terry Gotter, at the phone number or email address listed in this announcement, no later than Thursday, June 29, 2006. Please be advised that release of all RFP documents and any other information related to this acquisition will be posted on the PEO STRI website, www.peostri.army.mil, in the Business Opportunities area. It is the Government’s intent to post a draft of the Statement Of Work to the PEO STRI website within the next several days. Pending a final decision, this is currently anticipated to be a Small Business Set-Aside acquisition.
