- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION Date: July 06, 2007 Intended Source: Computer Application Services, Inc. (CASI) THE PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO SATISTY THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 5.2. PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT IN THE FUTURE. PURPOSE: The Office of Personnel Management intends to purchase on a sole source basis, a license upgrade for JES2FTP and RPL software from Computer Application Services, Inc. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit, in writing, within five days of publication of this notice, complete information, including pricing information, describing their ability to provide these services and supply. The Government does not intend to pay for this information. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
