- The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, has identified a requirement to solicit a certified HUBZone qualified small business to enter into a firm fixed price contract for hazardous tree pruning or removal. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the vendor who offers the best value of price and past performance. NAICS code for this project is 561730. The small business size standard is $6.5 million. This procurement is 100% set aside for a certified HUBZone Business, Federal Acquisition Regulation, (FAR) Part 19.13. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small business firms, women-owned firms, minority and disadvantaged business firms, service disabled and veteran-owned business concerns. The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, transportation, equipment and expertise to prune or remove 48 trees at Black Point, Bay St. and Fort Mason within Golden Gate NRA. The solicitation will be available on or about July 9th, 2007 with bids due approx. 30 days after issuance of the RFQ. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Dept. of Interior's (DOI) National Buisiness Center (NBC) website: http://IDEASec.nbc.gov. In addition, as part of the E-Government Integrated Acquisition Enviroment (IAE) Initiative throughout the Federal Government, all vendors are required to register at the Central Contractor registration (CCR) website: www.ccr.gov. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to registered at the NBC website to receive notifications of this specific solicitation. This annoucement does not constitute the solicitation. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification.. Subscribers of this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the NBC website for all information relevant to this solicitation. A site visit will be held on July 19th, 2007 at 9:00am starting at Fort Mason, Bldg.201,(Bay & Franklin Sts.) San Francisco; all contractors are encouraged to attend. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone/fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The date for submission of offers is August 9th,2007 unless otherwise specified in the actual solicitation.
