- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT with two (2) option periods using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to provide Ft. Hood Texas with high speed internet access by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contractin g, ATTN: IAPC-DOC, 8825 Beulah Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5246. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to the firm of Time Warner Cable, Inc. Time Warner Cable, Inc owns the cable lines on Ft. Hood and are deemed the sole provider for cable television and internet access through these lines. Further, there are no other distributors or sources available. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Und er the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this n otice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
