- Description
- The work will consist of the fabrication and delivery of a complete anchorage assembly and a temporary counter weight to be used for installation, with bid options for various components and quantities of the assemblies. A complete assembly consists of two forged steel arms approximately 8ft in length with sleeve nuts and jamb nuts weighing about 2,400 pounds each. The two arms connect to a hub to receive the gate gudgeon pin (twelve inch diameter pin). One entire anchor assembly weighs approximate ly 7,400 pounds. The work involves very precise machining, fitting, and welding. The fabrication shop shall be certified per AISC quality certification category cbd, and have five years experience in similar fabrication work with references. This procur ement is 100% set-aside for small business. The size standard for which is a concern is 500 employees under NAICS 332312. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: https://www.fedteds.gov and will be available o n or about August 6, 2007. All prospective contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers must be registered in FedTeds before they will be allowed to download the solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, howe ver, the Government reserves the right to revert to papar medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
