- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a firm, fixed-price contract to Construct the Fire Alarm System in the Hart Senate Office Building (HSOB) for the Architect of the Capitol. The contract work can be summarized as follows: "The demolition and removal of the existing fire alarm system control unit equipment, and the demolition and removal of the fire alarm system risers in the HSOB. The installation of new analog addressable fire alarm and emergency voice alarm evacuation systems with distributed amplifiers in the HSOB." Work on this project will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Responses from Fire Protection contractors or Electrical contractors are preferred. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 2007. The due date for receipt of proposals is Aug 20, 2007. Requests for drawings must be made to Matt Hazlinsky, Contract Specialist, via email at mhazlins@aoc.gov. Drawings will be mailed to contractors after date of solicitation issuance. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES! Date and time for a site visit will be determined later. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
