- Description
- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is seeking sources for the following drilling equipment and services. A low ground pressure, high-flotation tire, all-terrain drill rig with mud and air rotary, and wireline core drilling capabilities. The drill rig must have the rotary torque capabilities of a CME-75 or equivalent. The limited access nature of the site requires the drill rig to be capable of carrying drill tools and equipment. Support vehicles may not be capable of reaching within 200 feet of the drill sites. Discharge of drilling fluids is not allowed requiring all fluids to be contained. The drill rig must be equipped with a calibrated 140 pound standard penetration test (SPT) hammer. Due to the sensitive nature of the project site and site access issues, the driller must have 3-years experience with this type of drilling equipment and environment and the driller's helper at least 1-year of experience with this type of equipment. Tracked vehicles are not acceptable. Location of drilling will be Lauer Dam in northeastern California, approximately 11 miles north of Alturas, California. Anticipated period of performance will be two weeks starting August 13, 2007.
