- Request for Information--High Security Disintegrators Introduction: The U.S. Department of the Treasury (Departmental Offices) is conducting market research to identify suppliers and obtain information that can support the Treasury's need for equipment and service to destroy classified material on a continual and increasing basis. Industry responses to this RFI should provide information sufficient to assess: the capability to provide the required service, parameters for the safe operation of the equipment (e.g. facility requirements and air handling,) maintenance and service requirements, and any recommendation regarding the requirement; including the specific equipment recommended to satisfy the requirement. For example, the response should address, at a minimum: -Ability to handle estimated volume within the applicable NSA/CCS standard -HVAC / handling / minimum facility size -Minimum Floor weight -Electrical power requirements -Noise abatement requirements -Warranty and maintenance availability The Department of the Treasury requires that the applicable equipment be approved on NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List for High Security Disintegrators (NSA/CSS Specification 02-02.) This market research shall be conducted at no cost to the Government. This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI,) not a solicitation for proposals, and accordingly, no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Background: The Department of the Treasury's classified work and capabilities has grown over the last few years; and with that growth, comes the requirement to destroy classified material, on a continual and increasing basis. The Department of the Treasury requires a capability to destroy classified material up to and including the Top Secret level. The following is required to facilitate industry understanding of the requirement: Statement of Objectives Instructions: Businesses with the capability of providing the required services are invited to submit, on a voluntary basis, in writing, sufficient information that demonstrates the ability to fulfill this requirement and any relevant recommendations.
