- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWCPC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Advance Acoustics Concepts, Inc., 500 N. Water St STE 720, Corpus Christi, TX 78471, for the procurement of Remote Minehunting System (RMS) training. The NSWCPC requires contractor support for the development of minelike contact recognition training for the remote minehunting system (RMS) equipped with the AN/AQS-20A. In development of the training, the contractor support is required to provide NSWCPC with six graded lessons in contact recognition that are compatible with the Surface Navy Integrated Undersea Tactical Trainer system already delivered by Advanced Acoustic Concepts. Advanced Acoustic Concepts are the only providers able to perform the work for several reasons. This work is similar to software they have already produced for the Navy, and needs full compatibility with previous work. Additionally, partial funding for the tasking comes from an FY06 cong ressional plus up that calls Advanced Acoustic Concepts out specifically as the contractors.
