- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ 50903-0007-7, for the provision of various bread products for three Federal Bureau of Prison facilities located in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The 3 facilities are the Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville, Federal Correctional Institution Fort Worth, and Federal Medical Center Carswell. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit pricing. The contract period shall commence on October 1, 2007 and expire on September 30, 2008. Estimated yearly contract requirements include: (1) 89,960 loaves of White Bread; (2) 54,920 loaves of Wheat Bread; (3) 37,040 packages of Hamburger Buns, 8 per package; (4) 15,664 packages of Hotdog Buns, 8 per package; (5) 8,000 packages of Hoagie Rolls, 6 per package; (6) 900 packages of Buns, Kaiser Cut, 30 per package; (7) 2,800 loaves of Rye. Contract requirements will include storage racks. The solicitation will be available on or about July 12, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about August 2, 2007. The solicitation will be unrestricted. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
