- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Industrial CO2 Laser which was posted on June 25, 2007. The purpose of this modification is to provide answers to questions. ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS Q1. What will the laser be required to do? A1. The laser will be utilized for high temperature materials research. Q2. If the purpose is for cutting or welding, what class of system will be required? A2. The system will not be used for cutting or welding. Q3. If a less expensive solution is available which will perform the same function(s), will NASA consider this? A3. Any system proposed must meet the specifications provided. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
