- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, SOLICITATION NUMBER N62467-06-R-0143. In accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 (Revised), Performance of Commercial Activities, May 29, 2003, this is notice that the solicitation and amendments for a public-private competition of Laundry and Dry Cleaning Operations performed at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC, has been posted to the NAVFAC E-Solicitation (ESOL) website, as stated below. The incumbent service providers affected by this public-private competition are approximately 21 Department of Defense Government personnel positions and two commercial service providers. A standard competition will be conducted in accordance with the revised Circular. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitation. The preliminary planning baseline cost report (COMPARE Version 2.1a) and supporting documentation for this competition may be downloaded at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The password required to open the document is:1QAZ2WSX. A link to download COMPARE software may be found on the Navy's Competitive Sourcing Website at http://competitivesourcing.navy.mil/. The Department of Defense Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Philip Grone, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Installations and Environment). The DoD component Competitive Sourcing Official for the Department of the Navy is Mr. B.J. Penn, Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Installations & Environment). The date for receipt of all offers/tenders is: 24 August 2007, 3:00 pm EST. The preproposal conference is scheduled for 25 July 2007, see ESOL site for details.
