Description
Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) Data Access Tool RFI: 1. In addition to the operational flow of user access by downloading individual images, please describe how your solution would handle requests by a single user for bulk access (i.e. high volume data access) retrieval from the archive greater than 4,000 image scenes/4TB per day? 2. After your solution is integrated into the EROS infrastructure, how self sufficient is the system? Is follow-on operational support needed? What type(s) of support services would be provided (Help Desk, On-line, etc.) and what are the costs for these services? 3. Is your solution limited in any way to certain operating systems or browsers? Will it run on all platforms? 4. USGS EROS currently has over 30 years of image data in the archive from several instrument sources, in addition to Landsat data. Does your solution have the capability to sort-on-source or search for coincident acquisitions across multiple sensors? How will users navigate through multi-sensor previews or full resolution imagery over the same location spanning several years? Does your solution have the capability to easily add new inventories from multiple sensors? Is your solution scalable? 5. What usability engineering methods are used to ensure your solution is easy to use and will fulfill user expectations? 6. Since there will no longer be on-site visits scheduled to EROS, is there any additional information that you would like to provide that you didn't in your previous submission? Please respond by July 26, 2007. Telephone or fax requests or responses will not be accepted. Send hard copies to: Sonja Tweten-Grout U.S. Geological Survey APS P.O.
