Description

DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION NOTICE for FA8601-07-R-0038, Project 042537, WPAFB Replace Roof on the Mobility Center 30142. The NAICS Code 238160 Size Standard $13.0 Million.The overall estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1M. Period of Performance is 210 days. This procurement is for UNRESTRICTED full & open competition. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-704 ?Required Central Contractors Registration (CCR),? Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr2000.com/index.cfm, or 1-888-CCR-2423 FAX: 1-703-696-0213. SCOPE OF WORK: This project replaces a shingle roof with a requirement of the removal of several blast cells that extend above the current roof. It also requires a new roof structure metal roof. The project will als address storm drainage issues adjacent to the facility. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: Roof design includes concrete blast cell removal above the roof plane. Facility will be occupied by government personnel during construction. Special care must be maintained to eliminate the possibility of the demolished construction debris from falling into the building and damaging government property or injuring personnel. The facility must remain operational for the deployment of active duty military personnel. Constant clean up of debris and coordination of the staging of materials and equipment is a requirement and must not hamper mobility/deployment efforts. Additionally, there is a heightened security level associated with the operations of this facility due to the sensitive nature of items and/or materials passing through this facility during these efforts. The contractor will also have to submit a structural design for the new roof structure. NOTES: 1. The specifications and drawings are available for review purposes only on the World Wide Web at https://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil. The solicitation will be available on 29 June 07. 2. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. You may however, download and print the file from the website. 3. There is no fee for this solicitation. 4. A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH. 5. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register, however when you register, you will receive notice of any attachments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 6. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount. 7. You shall provide a signed copy of SF 1442 by the proposal closing date specified in the solicitation. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. Proposals prepared by Debarred, Suspended, or otherwise ineligible contractors are at risk and expense of the contractor.
