Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: The Census Bureau is conducting market research to identify available sources for the proposed services below: DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The U.S. Census Bureau requires on-site professionals to assist a General Services Administration (GSA) Broker in implementing all space procurement, leasing, renovation, and logistical support activities for the Local Census Offices (LCOs) within the jurisdiction of the assigned Regional Census Center (RCC) during the 2010 Decennial Census period (July 2007 through December 2010). The Contractor must be experienced in the procurement, leasing, renovation, and support of office space, and with all applicable federal guidelines and regulations. This task will require the development of close working relationships with the Regional Director, Assistant Regional Census Manager, regional staff, and with the GSA. The Contractor must have expert knowledge to assist in implementing the procurement and support of temporary office space for field operations for the 2010 Decennial Census. Subsequent task orders will be issued based on the need of each the 12 RCC locations throughout the United States that will require these services. The Contractor must ensure that all office sites are identified, leases are signed, space is renovated, and wiring, furniture, and equipment are installed in time for scheduled occupancy. The Contractor takes action in cooperation with the GSA to extend or terminate these leases and services when appropriate, and, at the conclusion of field operations, coordinates with the GSA to close the LCOs. It is expected that the Contractor will develop any specialized knowledge unique to the Census Bureau and will occupy the assigned position for the entire 2010 Census cycle, providing logistical support while the Local Census Offices are open. CONTRACT TYPE: The government anticipates that the services will be provided through an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. RESPONSE REQUIRED: Request companies interested in this project, and who qualify as a minority, woman-owned, and HUBZone contractor under NAICS Code 561110 or similar code, email their company capabilities and HUB Zone certification to Mr. Kenneth Bradford-Roy at kenneth.bradford.roy@census.gov Telephone #: 301/763-3040 This is not a request for proposal.
