- Description
- The U.S. Army Medical Commands Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC) has a requirement for hospital housekeeping services at Weed Army Community Hospital and outlying clinics, Fort Irwin, California. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, training, transportation, equipment and materials necessary to provide hospital housekeeping services in accordance with JCAHO, OSHA and Medical Command standards and regulations. This is a non-personal services requirement. The type s of areas that require cleaning are: operating and recovery rooms, labor and delivery recovery rooms, post-partum rooms, intensive care units, emergency room treatment areas, isolation rooms/wards, nursery areas, patient rooms and wards, outpatient clini c areas, administrative/office areas, cafeteria facilities, restrooms and hallways/lobbies. The contract base period will be from 1 May 2007 30 September 2007, with four (4) one-year option periods (through 30 September 2011). The North American Indust ry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561720; the Small Business Administrations small business size standard is $15.0 million. Offerors must meet the required corporate experience. Contractor corporate experience requires that t he firm have gained experience in hospital housekeeping services as a result of being regularly engaged in the business of providing housekeeping services in healthcare/patient care environments (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, ancillary, surgical and dental c are). The minimum level of acceptable experience required is 24 months within the previous 36 months from the date established for submission of proposals. Periods of creditable performance may have been incurred at more than one site for at least 12 con secutive calendar months at each site and may not have been gained at two or more sites concurrently. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps at www.fedbizopps.gov and will also be available at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ on or about 21 Decem ber 2006. Any prospective offerors will be able to download the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available and telephone, fax and e-mail requests will not be accepted. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held; the date, time and location will be provided in the solicitation.
