- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking sources that can provide a Pan-Only Unit (also referred to as an azimuth positioner, a rotary table, a rotary stage, or a rotary actuator). The following specifications are desired: Mount a payload of 27lbs minimum, maximum dimensions of approximately 15"x10"x8" (WxDxH), withstand harsh outdoor environmental conditions as would be seen on the roof of a moving military vehicle on rough terrain in a desert environment such as rain and sand, operational temperature range of between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius or better, controllable via serial input (RS-232/485) but ethernet is preferred, an Interface Control Document (ICD) defining all messages and communications setup such as IP address, ports, and baud rate, be able to withstand MIL-STD 810F shock and vibration, power or data cable pass through, slip ring, MIL-STD 461E, provide at least 300 degree rotary/pan motion. The following product documentation items are desired: specification data sheet that includes payload capacity, pan speeds, maximum pan ranges, duty cycle, and maximum temperature range, mechanical drawings showing the overall dimensions and the specific mounting interfaces. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. This request is for information only and is intended to identify items currently available or companies capable of providing the required item. When responding, please reference sources sought announcement number N00178-07-Q-1911, provide the company name, point of contact, telephone and facsimile numbers, internet address, business size, and specific information regarding your capabilities to provide the pan unit described herein.
