Description
DESCRIPTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation, 07SQ810207, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The applicable NAICS Code is 423830 with a size standard of 100 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated and the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are available on the following web site http:// ideasec.nbc.gov, under document 07SQ810207. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Under this solicitation, the Bureau of Reclamation requires the supply of a mixed flow vertical flow type pump that meets the following design and performance requirements: -Single stage mixed flow impeller - design and construct pump according to HI 2.1-2.4., and AWWA E101. -weight of pump rotating parts, including unbalanced hydraulic thrust of impellers will be carried by the motor thrust bearing. -16" Discharge head above ground - either long radius forged steel elbow or long radius elbow with not less than 2 mitered joints (3 segments) -10000 GPM @ 24 ft of Head -Product lubed lineshaft bearings with stuffing box packing -Minimum water level in sump is 5 ft 4 in above bottom of sump -Expected head range of total head: 15-24 ft --Select pumping unit full speed such that submergence will be within the limiting values of the facility. -the NPSHA to equal or exceed the NPSHR over the expected range of operating heads. -Motor: vertical hollow shaft, inverter rated, WP-I enclosure, 460 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, non reverse coupling, premium efficiency for constant speed. Designed for indoor use, operated at an elevation of 5400 ft with a maximum ambient temperature of 90 degrees F. -Suitable for installation in the space shown on the drawings. -VFD for variable speed control speed range down to 70%. -shop test (not witnessed) to provide actual pump curve Please separate out cost of VFD and Shop Test, as either or these items may be deleted, each offeror must confirm that the concern can deliver the above described pump on or before October 26, 2007. The pump is scheduled to be installed as part of the Water Resources Research Laboratory experiments, located in Building 56, on the Denver Federal Center in Denver Colorado, not later than October 26, 2007. Therefore, any quote received that does not confirm delivery within the stated critical time period will not receive further consideration. All changes and revisions to the solicitation, if any, will be (1) identified accordingly, (2) issued as amendments to the solicitation, and (3) posted on the web site prior to solicitation's closing date. Reclamation reserves the right to determine whether amendments to the solicitation should be announced in the FedBizOpps. This solicitation will close on the close of business July 6, 2007 and Proposals are due, via e-mail or otherwise, at the following address, Denver Federal Center, 6th Avenue & Kipling Street, Denver CO, 80225, Building 56, 0-7810, Attention John Collins, not later than 11: 00 am, July 13, 2007. All Offeors are advised to note that FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 and any other FAR clause stated in 07SQ810207 apply to this acquisition.
