Description
SOL: VA-261-07-RP-0118 Due: July 13, 2007 Request for Proposal (RFP) - Temporary Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Modular Building. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a contract for the lease of a portable modular building Cath Lab at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. This will be a sole-source procurement as the incumbent (Modular Devices, Inc.) is the only known firm that has a modular building available, as opposed to a mobile trailer. Additionally, the lease is only expected to be in place three months so it would be impractical to change-out the current building. The contract must be resolicited and reawarded because the original contract has expired and cannot be extended. This is because work on the in-hospital cath lab remodel effort is still incomplete due to construction delays. Contractor to provide all parts, labor, transportation and expertise necessary to fulfill requirements. This contract will be executed as a 100% Small Business set-aside. NAICS Code of 532490, size standard of $6,000,000 applies. Product Service code of X142 applies. The lease period is expected to start 6/25/07 and end 9/24/07, however a one-year option period providing for month by month rental will be included. The actual solicitation should be posted on or about July 3, 2007. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing, questions may be faxed to W. Ulibarri, (650) 849-0332 or emailed to bill.ulibarri@va.gov. You may also mail to William Ulibarri, Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA/90), VAPAHCS, Room C-140, Bldg. 6, 3801 Miranda Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304. The proposed procurement will be a one year contract with four one year option periods. Electronic solicitation may be accessed at no cost at www.fedbizopps.gov .
