Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNPOSIS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330 THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought is in support of market research being conducted by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) to identify capable potential Small and Small Disadvantaged (as defined in FAR Part 19.3) sources to furnish the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform Static Stability Factor (SSF) Testing. NHTSA anticipates the need for accurate center-of ? gravity (CG) height measurement data as described below on approximately 100 model year 2009 light vehicles including cars, pickups, sports utility vehicles (SUV), and vans. The make/models designated for testing will, for the most part, be the same ones that NHTSA selects for the 2009 NCAP crash test program. The agency plans to use measurement data obtained from this effort to provide consumers with comparative information on the rollover resistance of new vehicles. NHTSA anticipates that it will require the contractor to procure each test vehicle as specified in future statement of work prior to measuring each test vehicle in a driver-only configuration. At NHTSA discretion, procurement of some test vehicles in accordance with Task 1 may not be required. NHTSA also anticipates that each test vehicle will be tested in a five-occupant loading configuration, at NHTSA discretion, testing in a five-occupant loading configuration may not be required for some test vehicles. .All submitted information should be sent to Lloyd S. Blackwell, Small Business Specialist, via e-mail at lloyd.blackwell@dot.gov by Friday July 13 2007 no later than 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
