All work includes brushing, constructing a bypass dewatering site, excavation for 2 major structures, concrete foundations and placement of riprap. Streambed simulation material shall be placed inside the new culverts, and then shaped to simulate a natural channel. Streambed channel work also includes filling the scour hole and some minor channel work upstream. Stringent dewatering, erosion and sediment control measures will be required. The roadway at Upper Beaver Creek will be reestablished to the existing alignment and aggregate surfacing replaced. The roadway grade at Butte Creek will be raised approximately one foot to accommodate the height of the arch and have aggregate surfacing replaced. Seeding and mulching all disturbed areas will be required. Project Location: Both Sites: Travel from John Day, Oregon and go East on US Highway 26.
