Description
The USDA Forest Service, Region 5 (California) has a requirement for a contractor to convert Government furnished vehicles into standardized law enforcement vehicles. Vehicles are 32 Ford Expeditions,1 Ford Expedition outfitted as a K9 unit, and 5 Ford F150 pick ups. The Contractor will provide and install complete Law Enforcement component package on Government furnished vehicles per Forest Service specifications. Includes striping and markings per Forest Service specifications, and pick up from and delivery to San Dimas, CA. The contractor will procure and install a law enforcement equipment package consisting of major components, such as: a light bar, spot lights, other emergency lighting, console, pushbumper, rifle rack, shotgun rack, siren, speaker, prisoner cage, optional molded rear seat, and Power Patrol. Work will also entail miscellaneous wiring connections, and installation of striping and markings. Government will provide door shield and numbers only. All material for striping and markings shall be provided by the contractor. Contractor will pick up and deliver each vehicle. The contractor shall warrant and guarantee all work performed for a minimum of one year. The government may perform in-progress inspections at the contractor?s facility to verify timely progress of equipment installation. The extent of these in-progress inspections will be at the discretion of the government, and will not constitute acceptance. The contractor is responsible for quality control. Selection of firms and award will be based on best value, price and other factors considered. The government will make multiple awards to as many firms as it determines to be economically feasible. Work will be issued through individual orders and priced at the time of the order. Best value will also be a consideration with placement of each order. In order to be eligible for award, firms must: have a shop within the State of California, be competitively priced, and have satisfactory past performance of similar work. Friday, June 29, 2007 the SOW, specifications and drawings will be posted. Submit the geographic location of your shop, your pricing structure, and provide references for the last 3 jobs completed inclusive of names and phone numbers for each point of contact.
