Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses sources interested and capable of performing the work. Your response shall include the following information: size of company, number of employees, annual revenue for last three years, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back five years, and your company's capability to successfully accomplish this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Be advised a bid guarantee equal to 20% of the bid submitted will be required and made part of any solicitation. Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the contract award of any resulting contract will also be required. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) number of employees as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of annual receipts as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described below. Description: Correct HVAC Deficiencies Bldg 84 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center Battle Creek MI. The scope of work consists of: This project will correct several HVAC deficiencies currently existing in Building 84, and install additional medical gas headwalls on both the first and second floors. Work will include the installation of a new ducted return for the existing HVAC system, along with the relocation of any necessary utilities. Ceilings will be replaced where necessary, and incidental interior finish repairs will be accomplished. Two isolation rooms will be created, and the nurse's station will be relocated to better monitor the floor. Medical gas systems within the building will be replaced to meet the increased demand, and new over bed lights and nurse call stations will be integrated into the new headwalls. Magnitude of Construction: $500,000 to $1,000,000 Important Information: The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. The Government will in no way be obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work, and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Currently a total set-aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms is anticipated. However, if response by Small Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 ($31 million). All eligible firms expressing interest in being considered for any resultant solicitation, provide the following information: Brief Description of the Company, Technical and Financial Capabilities, Business Size, DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax ID Number along with the company and contact information listed in the opening paragraph. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). It is desirable that any offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
