Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, (NSWCCD) TUBA program requires 21 DT-369 Calibrated Reference Hydrophones (CRHs) refurbished. In order to meet this requirement, the refurbishment effort is to validate electrical and pressure performance. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm fixed price purchase order to ARGOTEC, INC, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. ARGOTEC has provided the repair and refurbishment work in the past and is recognized as an expert on the DT-369 sensor. The company has extensive records of all of the previous repair and refurb work for comparison and tracking of historical performance, and they can perform analysis of performance degradation over time for each individual sensor. This is important to ensure data consistency over several years. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 12 July 2007, at 5:00pm will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to Alicia Weber by e-mail at Alicia.weber@navy.mil or by fax at (301) 227-1847 on or before 07/12/2007.
