Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, Hydrological Instrumentation Facility (HIF) at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi intends to make award on a sole source basis, to YSI, Inc., Yellow Springs, OH to purchase water quality monitoring systems and peripheral equipment. The HIF Hydrologic instruments are sold and rented to district and field sites all over the nation to support their field data collection activities.YSI is the manufacturer of the equipment and they possess the technical knowledge and patents covering the intricate designs of the instruments and their accessories and cannot be purchased from other sources. There is no written solicitiation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about June 29,2007 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334513. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
