****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO CAROLYN GATES OR SUDIE BRISTER. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Requests for solicitation will be by Data Fax (256) 876-7735 or mailed to, ATTN: AMSAM- AC-CH-A, Sudie Brister, Contract Specialist. This requirement is for NSN: 1680-01-117-1232, PN: 145C1456-1, Quantity: 86 each Minimum / 430 each Maximum. The proposed contractual action will be a Five Year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefi nite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, applicable to CH-47, delivery to Texarkana, TX. Required delivery is at a rate of 86 each, 500 Days after Contract Award (DACA) with First Article and 86 each, 333 DACA without First Article. The First Article Test Repo rt is due 321 DACA. This acquisition is a Small Business Set-Aside Limited to NP Precision Inc (3PQR2) and Olympic Tool & Machine Corp (56811). This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, o r technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approve d by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements i n order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the web site www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjuste d dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. By U.S. law, participation in Small Business Set-Asides are restricted to U.S. small businesses, therefore foreign requests for this solicitation will not be honored. SEE NOTES: 26
