- The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contract Division, Natick, MA intends to award a purchase order to Charles River Analytics, Inc, a small business from Cambridge, MA on a basis of other than full and open competition under the authority in FAR Subpart 6.302.1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The acquisition is for research and development for Perceptions, Inferences, and Associations Model for Infantry Soldiers (PIAMIS). Charles River Analytics, Inc. was awarded a Phase I contract for described work under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program in November 2005. The Phase I contract ended in September 2006 and was compl eted prior to exercise of a Phase I option on that contract. Charles River Analytics, Inc. is now being considered for a Phase II award under the competitive SBIR program. In anticipation of the Phase II award, the Army is interested in the pursuit of th e work originally outlined in the Phase I option. There is no solicitation document available for this acquisition. Interested sources shall make any inquiries about this work no later than 2 July 2007. Reference note 22, as above shall be awarded utili zing simplified acquisition procedures, quotations received within five (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the Army.
