- The United States Air Force Academy intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to United Healthcare Partners Inc. (UHPInc.), 7201 Haven Ave. Ste E229, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701-6065, under the authority of FAR 6.302-5(b)(6),(10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5)) allowing for sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. 657f). The NAICS is 561421; Telephone Answering Services. The size standard is $6.5M. The requirement is for an after hours medical answering service for the 10th Medical Group/USAFA Hospital, United States Air Force Academy, CO 80840. The service will involve the contractor gathering all pertinent information such as name and chief complaint of caller, contact information and primary care manager. Life-threatening situations will be dealt with appropriately. Detailed monthly reporting of all calls processed will be provided to include calls received and each call?s disposition. The customer requires detailed information on how long it took to answer the call, how long the patient was placed on hold (if at all) and the overall call time from initial answer to final disposition. Previous market research indicates United Healthcare Partners, Inc. is the only SDVOSB contractor capable of performing this specialized work. The basis for this conclusion is knowledge they are currently performing very similar work at another DOD/military installation and were the only SDVOSB responding to a previous Sources Sought notice (FA7000-07-T-0174, published on Federal Business Opportunities on 31 May 07) able to demonstrate this experience.
