- This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract for an Aircraft Engine Test Set in support of the F-5 aircraft engine. This acquisition is for NSN: 4920-01-230-5964, P/N: BH112JB-77. The Aircraft Engine Test Set is used to monitor and verify the accuracy of engine revolutions per minute (rpms) and engine temperatures. The test set is also used to record and monitor peak fuel flow temperatures and engine rpms during start-up, engine temperature spreads, compressor discharge pressures (CDP), CDP ratios, nozzle positions, engine fuel flow and ratios of fuel flow to the CDP, ambient temperatures and pressures, and inlet guide vanes. The test set also stores and displays the input data records. Overall dimensions are: Length: 22.5", Width: 21", Height: 23.5", Weight: 95 lbs. This requirement is sole or limited source to: Howell Instruments Inc, 3479 W Vickery Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107, CAGE: 98869. Authority: 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one or limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The basic requirement is for a quantity of 2 EA. There will be two option years with a quantity range of 1-2 EA. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin. Solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 12 July 2007 with response due 30 days after solicitation issue date. Delivery is 180 days ARO contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
