Description

Questions and Answers FA2823-07-R-0026: 1. Position Accuracy and Repeatability vary greatly depending on the method used to measure the angle. Is it acceptable to take the measurements off the back of the readout package rather than off the actual gimbal even though it is not an accurate indication of the actual angle of the system? Answer: No. Due to possible inaccuracies of the feedback/readout packages the gimbal angle itself must be measured independent of the feedback/readout package. Possible measurement may be obtained by using an optical polygon and a theodolite containing the required accuracy measuring capability. 2. These specifications look like position transducer specifications and not the actual accuracy of the system? If this is the transducer specification, what is the specification for the system? If it is the system specification, should we quote lesser accuracy variations also as meeting these accuracy will require extensive mechanical modifications if it is achievable at all? Answer: The question seems to be unclear. However, solicitation presented ?system? specifications.
