- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, Nebraska, intends to enter into a sole source contract with Invitrogen Corporation, Grand Island, New York, for the purchase of anti-E coli O157 O-antigen, anti-E coli O111 O-antigen and anti-E coli O26 O-antigen paramagnetic bead preparations for use in bacterial culture and isolation of pathogenic zoonotic E. coli O157, E. coli O111 and E. coli O26 from agricultural samples for ongoing field research projects. There are patents covering these items. Invitrogen Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the Dynabeads Bacterial Microbiology and Protozoan products and the sole distributors of the BeadRetriever Systems and Protocols in North America. *Provide Qualification Statement by Close of Business July 10, 2007, if interested in this procurement.
