Description
HQ ACC AMIC/PKA Newport News VA intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order with TVI Corp for the purchase of Fourteen (14) 3-Line In-Place Patient Decontamination (IPPD) systems, Part Number SYS-SD4-0016 to replace the existing aging and unserviceable IPPD systems for Active Duty OCONUS bases. This requirement is a follow on to a previous acquisition for these items. The acquisition of these units is significant in maintaining compatibility, long term continuity and sustained on time maintenance with the current in place inventory. No other contractor, to the best of our knowledge, can provide the above items contained within IPPD systems with the necessary quality, durability, and operational functionality required by the Homeland Defense Mission. This procurement is authorized in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). The proposed solicitation is for commodities for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR6.302-1. Previous acquisition history for these items was conducted under FA4890-06-F-0088. That purchase was for 60, 3-Line In-Place Patient Decontamination (IPPD) systems to be delivered to various Air Force CONUS installations. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals via e-mail to ronald.toler@langley.af.mil. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the government to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice will be based solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
