- This is not a request for proposal. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this synopsis. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, has a requirement for the rental of various vehicles. The total number of vehicles is 79. Consisting of (60) 15-passenger vans, (8) mini-vans, (7) sedans, (2) trucks, and (2) 9-passenger vans. Vendors will be encouraged to submit quotes for the total number of vehicles that they can provide not neccesarily the full total of 79 vehicles. Alternate types of vehicles will be considered for any type of vehicle that cannot be provided in the specific quantity listed above providing that the alternate provides equal seating capacity. For example, (3) sedans would provide equal seating capacity as (1) 15-passenger van. The government reserves the right to make split-awards to accomplish the vehicle requirement. The solicitation or Request for Quote will be issued on or about 9 June 2006. The period of performance is 12 June 2006 through 1 July 2006. The NAICS code is 532111. The solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration website (http://www.ccr.gov) and have their Representation and Certifications Application filed under the new ORCA database (http://www.bpn.gov). If Representation and Certifications are not in the ORCA website then Representation and Certifications, FAR 52.212-3, must be accomplished and submitted with quote to be eligible for award. FAR 52.212-3 will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on the Internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Please note that paper solicitations will not be issued, and all documents related to this requirement will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (07-JUN-2006).
