- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Program Executive Office Intelligence and Information Systems (PEO-IIS), located at MacDill Air Force Base, FL, is looking for companies with the capabilities and facilities to provide Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), Non-Developmental Items (NDI), or near NDI component technologies that can provide a camera at the desktop for use over both local and wide area networks that has no microphone; a built in method to physically cover the lens when not in use; manual focus; USB 2.0; minimum 30 frames per second at 640 x 480 resolution and operate with Windows XP/Vista. USSOCOM is interested in receiving information from Vendors who are currently using the most advanced technologies in the design and fabrication of this component item. The Government may acquire for testing purposes one or more vendor products. Requirement: This solution must operate with standard desktops and laptops. Proposed solution: Web Camera Product Trade-offs: Ability to provide clear picture under normal office lighting conditions.
