- Description
- Furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials, except for specified Government-furnished property, to repair 12 reservoirs. Of the 12 reservoirs eight are fill embankments and four are pit excavation. Of the eight fill reservoirs, two of these are new construction and the other six are repairs. One significant reservoir repair consists of removal of a breached embankment and rebuilding of that same embankment. Of the four excavation reservoirs, two consist of pits installed in the headwaters of existing reservoirs and the other two are a reservoir removal and recontour. Seven of these reservoirs are within the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument(UMRBNM). Bid Schedule items will be as follows: 1) Common Excavation, 9,870 cubic yards; 2) Embankment Uncompacted, 46,900 cubic yards. This procurement is a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. However, all Small Business concerns are encouraged to respond. If a fair and reasonable quote is NOT received by a responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern, all quotes received from Small Business concerns will be considered without further notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237990. The Small Business size standard is $31.0 million. Work under this contract is located in Blaine County, Montana. The contractor will have sixty three (63) calander days after Notice to Proceed is issued to complete the project. The work will start on/about August 27, 2007. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000. Payment Protection will be in the form of one of the following: 1) Irrevocable Letter of Credit; 2) Certificate of Deposit, or 3) Payment Bond. Submission of the payment protection is required within 10 days of award. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Prospective contractors are also encouraged to register their Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov., and Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) online at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted on/about July 10, 2007. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office and will be available at "http://ideasec.nbc.gov". A site tour has been scheduled for 9:00 AM on July 25, 2007. Contractors will meet at the Chinook Post Office. Response date for quotes will be on/about August 8, 2007. The exact closing date will be posted in the RFQ.
