Description
Description USAMRAA on the behalf of the Tri-Service Patient Acuity Staff Scheduling System Working Group (TS PASS WG) is conducting a Market Research for the requirement described herein. This is not a formal solicitation or a request for proposals. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Tri-Service Patient Acuity Staff Scheduling System Working Group has the responsibility for the planning and coordination of an independent review of the Department of Defense (DoD) current systems and tools used to measure healthcare human resource r equirements, productivity across healthcare disciplines as necessary and required and make a determination regarding replacing the current Workload Management System for Nursing (WMSN). The goal is to have a system that can be utilized by the Department o f Defense, Veterans Administration, and any federal agencies that require the use of a Patient Acuity and Staff Scheduling System for workload management across echelons of care. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine all intere sted and available vendors capable of meeting the functional requirements, and interested in sharing information about their capabilities in the conduct of this comprehensive market analysis. The information gathered from this RFI will be considered by th e government in the development of its technical solution, ensuring all viable options are considered and made part of the procurement strategy adopted to meet mission objectives. In response to this RFI, clearly describe your companys professional serv ices and current service offerings, available products, and capabilities, and current federal contract vehicles. Information is being sought: The availability of technology that can capture patient acuity as a measure of nursing intensity. The ability to develop patient care staffing and scheduling applications as a by-product of patient acuity across multiple disciplines and patient care area s to include inpatient and outpatient. The capability of supporting all levels of care across the Department of Defense and the Veterans Health Administration. General technical areas of interest about available market products: " Programming language " Hardware platform " Databases dependent " System components " Functional capability across multiple disciplines - nursing, physical therapy, inpatient, outpatient, case management, community health. " Links to productivity applications " Data access/security " Data storage management capability " Software customization This market survey in being conducted in accordance with the requirements mandated by FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, specifically under the policy set forth in FAR part 12.101. The procedures for a Market Survey and subsequent review of t he information obtained as a result of the RFI shall be conducted in accordance with FAR part 10.001, Market Research. The result of this market research may result in a future synopsis announced in the FEDBIZ OPS as a request for proposal or request for quote.
