Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are qualified contractors, including SBA HUBZone certified, SBA 8(a) certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or local contractors (either large or small businesses) th at meet the specific criteria for Mesa, AZ FFR project in Maricopa County. DFARS 226.71, Preference for Local and Small Businesses (revised March 14, 2002) gives preference to local contractors, if they are available and qualified to perform the work if the Government is considering limiting the procurement to HubZone certified, 8(a) certified or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Contractors. Local is defined as having a home office in the county or adjacent county of the aforementioned projects. Mesa, AZ, FFR Herrera Hall, Maricopa County. Repair or replace the failed and/or failing systems and components in Building # 602 U.S. Army Reserve Center (USARC), Mesa, AZ. The training building was constructed in 1956. During repair work, the building components will be brought up to current stand ards. The project will repair, restore, and improve the functional efficiency and appearance of existing Building 602. The project repair work includes roof, replacing aging floors, ceilings, lighting, doors, HVAC, ductwork, electrical, telecommunication systems and AT/FP security fencing. Restoration work includes all building interiors such as entrances/lobby, administrative offices, classrooms, arms vault, unit storage and staging area, supply offices, repair/expansion of existing restrooms, and fire a larm system. A new furniture package with system furniture will be provided. The project also includes expansion of existing POV parking area. Replacement of aging site utility lines will be included. Contract duration is 365 days. Estimated cost range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project is scheduled to be ready to advertise NLT 16 JUL 07 and scheduled for award 28 SEP 07. This project will be awarded as a Design-Build Contract and will be evaluated using the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable Process  LPTA (15.101-1). All businesses interested in submitting a proposal for any of the projects should notify this office by mail or fax NLT 4:00 p. m. EST on July 9, 2007, 2:00 pm, local time. Your response must include the following information: 1. Identify the appropriate business category (large business, SBA HUBZone certified, etc.) of your business. 2. Submit proof of projects that you have completed including the name of the project, the construction start and completion dates, the final dollar amount of the contract and a short description of your role and work performed (less than 200 words) and a Point of Contact and phone number for the owner of the project. To be considered you must: a.. Have served as the prime contractor (add joint venture information if applicable). b. The work must have been successfully completed within the last five years and be a Design Build project. c. The projects must be similar in size, scope and dollar value to the project(s) of interest. d.. Percent of self-performed work and how it was accomplished. e. A letter from your bonding company stating that you are bondable for the project indicated in numbered paragraph 1 above. Please submit the requested information to the U. S.
