Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W31P4Q-07-Q-0014 is being issued as a request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisi tion Circular 2005-17. CLIN 0001 will be issued for 1 Spectrum 100 FTIR with peltier controlled DTGS detector and software. Spectrum 100 spectrometer comprising of the patented DynaScan interferometer, hot-spot stabilized source, sealed and desiccated Ge- coated KBr optics and a temperature-stabilized DTGS detector enabling a scan range of 7,800-350cm-1 whilst delivering 0.5cm-1 resolution and better than 7,000:1 peak-peak noise for 5 second scan. Includes TCP/TP communications interface for PC workstation or LAN connection. The full size sample compartment automatically detects and optimizes performance of accessories and incorporates a quick release lid with sample viewing window. Automatic ready-for-work checks include contamination, noise, abscissa an d throughput checks. Also included is Automatic Performance Verification (APV) comprising a fully automatic filter wheel containing traceable reference materials and software allowing abscissa, ordinate, noise, ASTM and USP tests to be performed and Absol ute Virtual Instrument (AVI) to allow the production of standard data referenced to fundamental band positions. An automatic atmospheric H20 and CO2 correction algorithm is included. Contains a user selectable Look-Ahead option, which automatically begi ns data collection when the sample is placed on the instrument. Integral display shows the status of the instrument. Also included is a fully validated software suite comprised of, Spectrum software, Instrument control, Basic and advanced data manipulati on routines, Spectral calculator, COMPARE spectral comparison, PLS\PCR\Beers Law predictions, Beers Law Quant method development, Spectrum Learn macro writer, IR Expert data optimization wizard, Spectrum Search Plus, Search Starter Libraries, Report Buil der, Multimedia training CD. Instrument dimensions 520 mm W x 600 mm D x 300 m H, Mass 34Kg. Supplied with mains cable, Ethernet cable, electronic Users and Maintenance Guide on CD, certificate of conformity and fuses. Engineer installation and 1-year wa rranty included. Requires PC. Optional printer not included. Suitable for 110-120/220V, 50/60 Hz operation. 2. AutoImage FTIR Microscope System with Medium Band MCT Detector, mapping stage, micro ATR objective and software. Consists of microscope fram e built on cast metal base plate, all parts necessary to complete the mechanical and electrical coupling to the spectrometer, including permanently aligned and fixed cassegrain optics and detector mount. All microscope operations are fully automated throu gh motors that enable Auto aperturing, Auto focus and refocus during mapping, Automatic Illumination, Automatic switching between IR transmission-reflectance modes and the visible/IR modes, Automatic lower cassegrain positioning to correct for thicker samp les or those with high refractive index, Auto XYZ stage control. Also includes an ATR Objective consisting of a cassegrain, mount and Germanium micro ATR crystal (working range 5,500-600 cm-1, depending on MCT detector cut-off) with holder. A spare Germa nium crystal and holder is provided. Included are the medium-band (cut-off at 550 cm-1) MCT detector with 0.25-mm detector area, liquid nitrogen dewar and MCT pre-amp, a 35 W built-in variable tungsten halogen illuminator, a fully integrated video camera and frame-grabber card that enable visible images to be displayed on the PC screen. A 75-mm x 50-mm motorized stage is provided with joystick control. AutoIMA GE software is also included which provides PC screen control of all the automated microscope operations and data manipulation functions including COMPARE correlation maps, Normalized maps, Derivative maps, Difference maps, Map statistics (standard deviati on, mean, max, min). Also provided is a sampling kit, which includes a 25-mm x 75-mm sample holder with a 13-mm diameter hole and a transmission-reflectance holder with gold mirror for reflectance background measurements. The 13-mm holes are used to supp ort IR transparent windows. Supplied with PC connection cables, Users Guide, certificate of conformity and fuses. Engineer installation and 1-year, on-site warranty included. Requires PC and Spectrum 100 spectrometer running Spectrum V6.00 software. Op tional printer not included. Suitable for 110-120/220V, 50/60 Hz operation. 3. External Beam Kit to connect to FTIR Microscope. 4. Diamond Single Reflection ATR with KRS-5 crystal. The universal ATR is an excellent general accessory for the analysis of solids and liquids. The UATR produces high quality spectra through the use of a pressure arm allowing good contact of the sample with the diamond crystal. The pressure arm force indicator ensures first-class sample-to-sample and operator-to-operator rep roducibility. Features of the UATR include, Automatic recognition - as soon as the accessory is placed in the sample compartment the Universal ATR module is recognized along with its serial number, type of ATR crystal (1, 3 or 9 Reflection), and system su itability checks can be carried out; Automatic optimization - the optics are automatically optimized for the different top-plate options; Zero alignment, zero set-up - once locked into the Spectrum 100 sample compartment, the accessory is ready to be used without any alignment necessary; Integrated - the plug-in module design means the accessory becomes an integral part of the instrument once installed; Pressure arm with pressure sensor supplied as standard; Volatiles cover (9 reflection UATR only). 5. Mi crosampling toolkit for manipulating small samples. FTIR Microscope Sampling Accessory Kit Includes two KBr windows (13-mm x 2-mm), rotatable sample holder, two 3-inch x 1-inch three-position sample holders with 13-mm apertures (one position with a fixed g old-coated glass mirror), sample spacer for large samples, view-through variable apertures set, 100-micron pin hole aperture, low-magnification screen and sample accessory carrying case. 6. Dell 745 XP System Controller, with 20 inch monitor and 2 power cords. 7. KBr Windows (13x2mm) spares for microscope. 8. On site installation and training.
