- Description
- The United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM-LCMC) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to the University of Arizona. The award shall be for algorithm reconstruction improvement in hyper imaging design for comput ed tomography imaging spectrometry. The University of Arizona (Contractor) shall continue its work to further develop, refine and assess the quality of the algorithm reconstruction with a complete Computed Tomographic Imaging Spectrometer (CTIS) system sim ulation and advance storage capabilities. The Contractor shall work with TARDECs own unique special based computer Onyx4 system. The Contractor shall continue its refinements of specialized advanced processes to the Onyx4 system to ascertain CTIS images i n real time processing. The Contractors algorithm reconstruction development shall enable visualization of larger more complex data sets with a higher rate of interactivity to improve productivity. The Contractors research shall further define how to optimize this computational analysis, and the optical hardware layout, to determine changes to the current reconstruction algorithms that shall result in speedup and accuracy. This meets objectives for continued improvements in real time, to identify and e liminate design and performance issues prior to manufacturing the item. See Numbered Notes: 22 & 26
