- Description
- The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) is seeking information, ideas and comments for soliciting sources for the Eisenhower Lock Concrete Rehabilitation Project. The project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all work for removing between 500 and 700 cubic yards of deteriorated concrete from the north and south lock chamber walls at Eisenhower Lock located in Massena, New York, and replacing it with steel reinforced concrete. Deteriorated concrete shall be removed to a depth of between 9 inches and 30 inches. A contract will be awarded in 2007 with the work commencing after Eisenhower Lock is closed for the 2008 navigational season and Corporation personnel complete preparatory work at the lock which should be on or about January 8, 2009. Work in the lock chamber shall be completed by March 11, 2009. The cost range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The presolicitation conference will be held at 10:00AM (local time) on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Corporation Administration Building, 180 Andrews Street, Massena, New York. A site visit will immediately follow the conference. Contractors are responsible for their own transportation expenses to the conference and site visit.
